When to use this story

Read it before game time, family game night or playdates. Short, quick games are a good place to practice turns before longer ones.

Tips

  1. 1Say whose turn it is out loud, or pass a “my turn” card or object around.
  2. 2Start with games that have very short turns, like rolling a ball back and forth.
  3. 3Notice good waiting: “You waited for your turn, and now it's your go.”
