Accessibility

Last updated November 8, 2026

WayPebble is made for families, teachers and therapists of disabled and neurodivergent kids, so it has to work for disabled adults too. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA.

What we’ve built in

  • Every maker works with a keyboard, including reordering steps (Space, the arrow keys, then Space).
  • Screen readers hear what moved and where it landed when steps are reordered.
  • Large controls, with tap alternatives to every drag.
  • Text in Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a typeface designed for low-vision readers.
  • Motion is short and gentle, and turned off when your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Grayscale printing for black-and-white printers, and color is never the only signal.

Known gaps

Cropping a photo uses dragging or the arrow keys on the preview; we’re working on making it easier with a screen reader.
